Holden's love of nature and art began as a young child.  Drawing the world around him and being outdoors has always been his natural state of being. His art expresses his love and concern for the environment. His fantasy creations are a continuation of his environmental sensibilities. Holden draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and the wonderful creatures he has seen throughout his travels.

Air and Sea 

​Holden has long been inspired by birds and they have been the focus of much of his art. He later became fascinated with the marine life of the deep depths of the ocean. Both land and sea paintings depict the vibrant colour and beauty of each environment.
